Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) to transport goods on scheduled night routes
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques following safety protocols
- Navigate efficiently through DC metro area using GPS and route planning tools
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Maintain clean driving record with zero preventable incidents
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while prioritizing safety
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with Hazmat endorsement preferred
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DC, MD, and VA roadways
- Pass federal background check and random drug screenings
- Flexible availability for overnight shifts (typically 7 PM - 5 AM)
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills
