Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes during overnight hours (8 PM - 6 AM)
- Complete pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Navigate Tampa metro area routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or issues
- Submit required paperwork (bills of lading, delivery confirmations) daily
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with company safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (3+ years experience)
- Minimum 1 year of night shift or overnight driving experience
- Knowledge of Tampa Bay area highways and local delivery zones
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate pallet jacks/forklifts (certification preferred)
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills in low-visibility conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening per DOT requirements
- Excellent communication skills for team coordination
- Flexibility for occasional weekend shifts during peak seasons
