Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional deliveries during overnight hours
- Conduct thorough pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and basic warehouse equipment
- Adhere to strict delivery schedules while ensuring on-time performance
- Communicate with dispatch via GPS tracking systems for real-time route updates
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with all FMCSA regulations
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Complete electronic delivery confirmations and paperwork documentation
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and operate warehouse equipment
- Strong knowledge of Virginia Beach roadways and surrounding areas
- Flexibility to work 11 PM - 7 AM shifts with occasional weekend hours
- Proficient in using GPS navigation and electronic logging devices
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
