Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, flatbed) on designated night shift routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and document vehicle maintenance
- Ensure timely delivery of freight to Cleveland metro area destinations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and electronic logging (ELD)
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch for route adjustments and customer communications
- Secure and verify cargo before transit upon arrival
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with Cleveland area roadways and logistics hubs
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside troubleshooting
