Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van & refrigerated) during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Navigate Minneapolis metro routes efficiently using GPS technology
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and route changes
- Complete daily vehicle maintenance reports and minor repairs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Familiarity with Minneapolis metro roadways and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 70 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong time management and route optimization skills
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and temperature-controlled freight
