Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Execute efficient multi-stop delivery routes across Houston metro area
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere strictly to HOS regulations and company safety protocols
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments
- Secure and verify cargo documentation at each delivery point
- Maintain clean driving record and represent Swift professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during loading/unloading
- Strong knowledge of Houston-area roadways and traffic patterns
- Pass DOT physical and background check requirements
- Flexibility to work weekends/holidays during peak seasons
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting skills preferred
- Excellent time management and communication abilities
