Responsibilities
- Safely operate tractor-trailers to transport freight overnight across Ohio and neighboring states
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Efficiently load/unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team and customers regarding delivery status
- Complete required paperwork including delivery receipts and trip documentation
- Maintain professional conduct representing Columbus Logistics Solutions in all interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safe driving practices
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (typically 8 PM - 6 AM)
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging device (ELD) operation
