Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Execute multi-stop delivery routes with strict adherence to DOT regulations
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Secure and unload freight using specialized equipment (pallet jacks, forklifts)
- Communicate dispatch updates via electronic logging system
- Maintain clean driving record and safety documentation
- Respond professionally to emergency delivery requests
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement (preferred)
- Minimum 2 years OTR or regional experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) and navigation apps
- Strong knowledge of Chicago metro area roadways
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Ability to work independently in low-visibility conditions
