Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight throughout Baltimore metropolitan area
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and company safety protocols during night operations
- Perform pre-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance to ensure roadworthiness
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using electronic logging systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch team regarding route changes and delivery status
- Handle secure cargo with attention to handling procedures and security protocols
- Collaborate with warehouse teams for efficient loading/unloading operations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Proficiency in using electronic logging devices (ELD) and GPS navigation
- Strong knowledge of Baltimore area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- HAZMAT certification preferred
