Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles for nighttime deliveries across North Carolina
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Handle specialized cargo with precision and adhere to all DOT regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with warehouse staff for efficient loading/unloading procedures
- Utilize GPS technology for real-time navigation and route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate heavy machinery
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexibility to work variable night shifts including weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
