Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for overnight freight deliveries across Tucson and surrounding regions
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and securement protocols
- Navigate complex delivery routes using GPS technology while adhering to strict delivery windows
- Communicate with dispatch team and clients regarding delivery status and delays
- Complete electronic logging (ELD) and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
- Respond professionally to delivery exceptions and customer inquiries during night hours
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Arizona highway systems and regional geography
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts (10 PM - 6 AM) with rotating weekends
- Proficient in electronic logging devices and fleet management software
- Pass background check and drug screening as per federal regulations
- Hazmat endorsement preferred but not required
