Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A trucks safely and efficiently on designated routes in and around Indianapolis.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Secure cargo using straps, chains, and bars, ensuring load stability throughout the night shift.
- Maintain accurate logs using ELD systems (DOT Hours of Service) and adhere to all traffic laws.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery times and any delays.
- Keep the tractor and trailer clean and presentable at all times.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience (OTR or Local).
- 21 years of age or older.
- Pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and a drug screen.
- Ability to pass a background check and MVR review.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work night shifts independently.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
