Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages and goods during overnight shifts (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS navigation to ensure timely arrivals
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Inspect vehicles before/after shifts to ensure roadworthiness and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
- Communicate delivery status via mobile app and coordinate with dispatch team
- Load/unload packages with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
Qualifications
- Valid California driver's license with clean driving record (no DUIs in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience preferred
- Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong knowledge of Sacramento area roads and neighborhoods
- Availability to work flexible night schedules including weekends
- Basic smartphone proficiency for delivery tracking apps
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screening
- High school diploma or equivalent required
