Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles during overnight hours (10 PM - 6 AM)
- Transport freight efficiently across Arizona and regional routes with GPS navigation
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs per DOT regulations
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize delivery schedules and troubleshoot issues
- Adhere to strict safety protocols and represent Swift's brand standards
- Load/unload shipments with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members during critical transit periods
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions during night operations
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and electronic logging devices
- Physical ability to handle freight and withstand overnight driving conditions
- Pass background check and drug screening (mandatory for all positions)
- Strong time-management and problem-solving skills in low-visibility environments
- Basic mechanical knowledge for roadside emergencies
