Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks (Class A) to transport goods across the East Coast.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo accurately using standard loading equipment.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules.
- Ensure the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A) in good standing.
- Clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to travel and work varying schedules, including nights and weekends.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
