Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, and pharmaceuticals via temperature-controlled vehicles
- Maintain chain of custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology for time-sensitive pickups/drop-offs
- Perform quality control checks on medical equipment during transport
- Communicate delivery status updates to healthcare providers and dispatch
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and biohazard handling procedures
- Complete daily vehicle inspection and maintenance reports
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or willingness to obtain
- Medical transport experience preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling protocols
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
