Responsibilities
- Transport medical specimens, medications, and equipment to/from hospitals, labs, and clinics using company-provided vehicle
- Maintain strict temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments during transit
- Complete accurate documentation and electronic tracking for all deliveries
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and biohazard safety procedures
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities to ensure timely pickups and deliveries
- Perform vehicle maintenance checks and report mechanical issues promptly
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical logistics certification preferred
- Experience handling biohazardous materials or medical specimens
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and electronic delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
