Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, medications, and equipment between hospitals, labs, and clinics
- Maintain strict temperature control and chain-of-custody protocols for sensitive materials
- Utilize GPS routing systems for efficient same-day delivery across Milwaukee County
- Complete detailed delivery logs and electronic documentation in HIPAA-compliant systems
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and maintain clean, organized transport vehicles
- Collaborate with dispatch team for urgent route adjustments and priority pickups
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical transport or logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Proficiency with mobile technology and delivery tracking systems
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to HIPAA compliance
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
