Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between hospitals, labs, clinics, and pharmacies
- Maintain strict temperature control for sensitive materials using specialized equipment
- Complete accurate documentation and tracking for all shipments
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance and biohazard handling protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare partners
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks
- Optimize routes to ensure timely deliveries across the Triangle area
Qualifications
- Valid North Carolina driver's license with clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transport experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard safety protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled units
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Basic familiarity with GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
