Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and sensitive equipment between hospitals, clinics, and labs
- Maintain strict temperature control protocols for time-sensitive shipments
- Complete detailed documentation and tracking for all deliveries using proprietary systems
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain patient confidentiality
- Optimize delivery routes to ensure timely pickups and drop-offs across the Pittsburgh metro area
- Communicate effectively with healthcare staff to coordinate logistics and resolve issues
- Perform vehicle inspections and ensure equipment meets safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Pennsylvania driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and biohazard handling protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled containers
- Strong time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile tracking systems
