Responsibilities
- Pick up and transport medical specimens, lab samples, and healthcare supplies from collection sites to hospitals and laboratories.
- Ensure the safe and secure handling of all items, strictly adhering to HIPAA and OSHA safety regulations.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle at all times.
- Verify delivery accuracy by scanning barcodes and completing digital logbooks.
- Communicate effectively with facility staff and dispatch regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company driving policies to ensure a safe environment.
- Perform light vehicle maintenance checks before every shift.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record (no major violations in the last 3 years).
- Reliable, personal vehicle with current insurance and registration.
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the day.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening.
- Basic smartphone proficiency for app-based navigation and reporting.
