Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, organs, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain chain of custody documentation and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics for efficient pickup/delivery scheduling
- Perform vehicle pre-trip inspections and maintain clean, organized transport vehicles
- Utilize GPS technology for optimal routing and real-time tracking updates
- Respond to urgent delivery requests with urgency and professionalism
Qualifications
- Valid Wisconsin driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year courier or delivery experience
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and navigate medical facility environments
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of medical specimen handling procedures
- Background check and drug screen required
