Responsibilities
- Safe Transport: Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and confidential documents to various healthcare facilities within the NYC metro area.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs of delivery times, signatures, and package conditions using our proprietary mobile application.
- HIPAA Compliance: Adhere strictly to all HIPAA regulations regarding the handling and disposal of confidential patient information and medical waste.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections of the delivery vehicle to ensure it is clean, safe, and in proper working order before each shift.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with hospital staff and medical personnel to ensure smooth drop-offs and pickups.
- Route Planning: Efficiently plan routes to maximize delivery times while adhering to traffic laws and time windows.
Qualifications
- License: Valid Driver’s License (Class B or C) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or major violations in the last 3 years).
- Experience: Prior experience in courier services, delivery, or logistics is highly preferred but not always required.
- Reliability: Must be punctual, responsible, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and ability to use handheld devices/software for logging data.
- Background: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift packages up to 50 lbs occasionally and stand/walk for extended periods.
