Responsibilities
- Securely transport medical specimens, organs, pharmaceuticals, and lab equipment in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain precise delivery logs, chain-of-custody documentation, and HIPAA compliance protocols
- Coordinate with healthcare facilities for timely pickups and deliveries across Indianapolis metro area
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and routine maintenance checks
- Respond proactively to delivery exceptions and route adjustments
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for real-time route optimization
Qualifications
- Valid US driver's license with clean MVR (no major violations in 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare or logistics experience preferred
- Ability to safely lift 50+ pounds and operate medical refrigeration units
- Strong knowledge of Indianapolis roadways and traffic patterns
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification (provided upon hire)
- Exceptional time management and crisis resolution skills
- Background check and drug screening required
