Responsibilities
- Secure Transport: Safely transport medical specimens, blood samples, and documents to and from medical facilities, laboratories, and hospitals.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to all DOT regulations, HIPAA guidelines, and company safety protocols to ensure patient confidentiality and cargo integrity.
- Technology Integration: Utilize handheld scanners and GPS-enabled mobile applications to track deliveries in real-time and update status logs accurately.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections of your vehicle to ensure it is clean, operational, and compliant.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with hospital staff and clients, maintaining a courteous and helpful demeanor at all times.
- Route Management: Plan efficient routes to meet strict delivery windows while navigating the diverse streets of Raleigh.
Qualifications
- Driver's License: Valid state-issued Driver's License with a clean driving record (no major violations within the last 3 years).
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Technology: Proficiency with smartphones and mobile technology; ability to learn new scanning software quickly.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs regularly; ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Background Check: Willingness to undergo a background check and drug screening as part of the hiring process.
- Availability: Flexible schedule availability, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
