Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, pharmaceuticals, and equipment between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control for temperature-sensitive shipments using specialized equipment
- Document all pickups/delivers with electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Coordinate with hospitals, labs, and clinics to ensure timely and accurate deliveries
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance to ensure operational readiness
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and receiving facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Arizona driver's license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year experience in medical courier or healthcare logistics
- OSHA Bloodborne Pathogens certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely and navigate medical facilities
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet strict delivery windows
- Proficiency with GPS navigation and mobile tracking applications
- Background check and drug screen required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
