Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport medical specimens, documents, and supplies to and from medical facilities, laboratories, and patient homes.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the vehicle, including regular cleaning and pre-trip/post-trip inspections.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, including proper handling of biohazardous materials and temperature-sensitive items.
- Provide exceptional customer service to healthcare professionals and patients while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Accurately record delivery information and maintain up-to-date logs using handheld scanners or mobile apps.
- Resolve delivery issues promptly and report any vehicle maintenance needs immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license (Class C) with a clean driving record (no DUIs or serious violations within the last 3-5 years).
- Reliable personal vehicle suitable for courier work, with valid insurance and registration.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs, including bending, reaching, and climbing stairs.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow strict protocols for specimen handling.
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
