Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, blood products, pharmaceuticals, and lab materials between healthcare facilities
- Maintain strict temperature control and chain-of-custody protocols for sensitive shipments
- Utilize GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and timely deliveries
- Document all shipments using electronic tracking systems and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance standards and maintain strict confidentiality protocols
- Perform pre-trip vehicle inspections and ensure cleanliness of transport equipment
- Collaborate with dispatch team to resolve delivery issues and maintain service excellence
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; healthcare logistics certification preferred
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate temperature-controlled transport units
- Strong attention to detail with proven ability to follow complex protocols
- Experience with electronic tracking systems and mobile data entry
