Responsibilities
- Safely transport medical specimens, lab samples, blood products, and pharmaceuticals in temperature-controlled containers
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using our proprietary tracking system
- Adhere to HIPAA compliance protocols and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information
- Perform vehicle safety inspections and ensure proper maintenance of courier equipment
- Coordinate with hospitals, clinics, and laboratories to schedule efficient pickup/delivery routes
- Handle urgent STAT deliveries with precision and time-sensitive prioritization
- Communicate professionally with healthcare staff and resolve delivery discrepancies
Qualifications
- Valid Indiana driver's license with clean driving record (no more than 2 moving violations in past 3 years)
- High school diploma or equivalent; medical transportation certification preferred
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and navigate medical facility environments
- Proficiency with smartphone navigation apps and basic technology systems
- Strong time management skills with ability to meet tight delivery deadlines
- Background check and drug screening required (pre-employment and random)
- Experience in medical logistics, pharma delivery, or healthcare supply chain preferred
