As a Van Driver, you will be the face of our company, ensuring our customers receive their packages and freight with care and efficiency. We value punctuality and integrity above all else.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles (26-foot box trucks or vans) to deliver goods to residential and commercial locations throughout New Orleans.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured properly and handled with care to prevent damage.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies at all times.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any issues immediately.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab and cargo area, including regular trash removal and washing.
- Interact professionally with customers, answering questions and resolving delivery issues on the spot.
- Utilize handheld scanning devices and electronic logging systems to track deliveries accurately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record (no DUIs in the last 5 years).
- Minimum of 2 years of driving experience in a commercial or delivery environment.
- Ability to lift and carry packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong knowledge of the New Orleans area and its streets is highly preferred.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent communication skills and a customer-first attitude.
- Willingness to pass a background check and drug screening.
