Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated destinations in and around San Diego.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and vehicle inspection reports.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo securely, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing loads.
- Adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and pick-ups.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (Clean Driving Record required).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screen.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle mechanics.
- Basic computer proficiency for electronic logging devices and reporting.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting heavy items and standing for extended periods.
