Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on local and regional routes within Houston and surrounding areas.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and proper reporting.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring cargo security and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (DVIR) and electronic logging device (ELD) records in strict accordance with FMCSA regulations.
- Adhere to all company policies, safety protocols, and customer service standards during every delivery.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Clean Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and perform manual tasks associated with loading/unloading.
- Strong knowledge of Houston area roads, highways, and traffic patterns.
