Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks within the Nashville metropolitan area and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and hand trucks, ensuring all freight is secure.
- Verify delivery contents against delivery receipts and obtain customer signatures.
- Maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle interior and exterior at all times.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (with appropriate endorsements).
- Current, valid DOT medical card.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in the last 3 years.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no major violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Basic mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues.
