Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks safely and efficiently on assigned local routes within the Los Angeles metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo accurately using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Complete all necessary shipping and receiving paperwork, including Bills of Lading and delivery logs.
- Maintain a clean driving record and uphold the company's high safety standards at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no serious traffic violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
