Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicle: Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles on designated local routes in and around Tulsa, OK, adhering to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
- Cargo Handling: Load, secure, and unload cargo carefully to prevent damage, ensuring accuracy of delivery orders.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers, resolving delivery issues and maintaining a positive company image.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate daily logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records as required by Department of Transportation (DOT) and company standards.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns immediately.
- Route Planning: Follow GPS and route maps efficiently to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption.
Qualifications
- CDL Required: Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is required.
- Clean Record: Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) with no DUIs, reckless driving, or major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of verifiable experience in commercial driving or logistics.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly, bend, twist, and stand for extended periods.
- Background Check: Must pass a comprehensive background check and drug screen.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to read and understand maps and delivery manifests.
