Role Overview
In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of goods to local businesses and residential customers across the Omaha metro area. You will operate a straight truck or box truck, ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism are maintained at all times.
Responsibilities
- Execute daily delivery routes efficiently and safely within the Omaha metro area.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks and dollies, ensuring proper weight distribution and security.
- Interact professionally with customers to resolve delivery issues and ensure 100% satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and times in the onboard computer system.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and fueled at the conclusion of each shift.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class B required.
- Current Medical Card and valid DOT physical examination certificate.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift and maneuver in tight spaces.
- Strong knowledge of Omaha street layouts, traffic patterns, and time management skills.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
