Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight to customers in the Memphis, TN area and surrounding regions.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers while maintaining a positive company image.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and paperwork, ensuring all delivery records are up to date.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety procedures at all times.
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance checks and report any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience in a commercial or route capacity.
- Clear driving record (MVR) with no serious violations within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic understanding of GPS navigation and cargo handling safety protocols.
