Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles safely and efficiently on designated routes throughout the Detroit metropolitan area.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring all items are secured and accounted for during transit.
- Interact professionally with customers, verifying delivery orders and handling returns or complaints with a positive attitude.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery logs, mileage, and fuel consumption.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies to minimize risk.
Qualifications
- Clean, valid Driverâs License (CDL Class B preferred, but Class C with good driving record considered).
- Must possess a current Medical Examinerâs Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- U.S. Citizenship or legal authorization to work in the United States.
- Ability to pass a comprehensive background check and drug screening.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
