Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles on assigned local delivery routes.
- Load and unload cargo with care, ensuring no damage occurs during transit.
- Verify delivery addresses and obtain necessary signatures for all packages.
- Maintain accurate daily logs and delivery paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, drivers, and customers regarding delays or issues.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Previous experience in local delivery or route driving is highly preferred.
- Ability to lift, carry, and move packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict delivery deadlines.
- Must pass a drug screen and background check.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
