Responsibilities
- Safe Vehicle Operation: Operate commercial vehicles in a safe, efficient, and professional manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
- Delivery Duties: Perform loading and unloading of cargo, ensuring accuracy and care during the transfer process.
- Inspections: Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document any defects or irregularities.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with customers at delivery points, handling complaints or questions with a positive attitude.
- Documentation: Accurately complete all required delivery paperwork, logbooks, and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Current Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) required.
- Driving Record: Clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of commercial driving experience preferred, but immediate hires with a strong work ethic will be considered.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds frequently and pass a DOT physical examination.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed.
- Equipment: Possession of a valid DOT medical card.
