Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks and vans to designated routes in the Detroit metro area.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper handling and documentation of freight.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Interact professionally with customers, ensuring satisfaction and resolving any delivery issues on the spot.
- Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and mileage records.
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
- Keep the truck and delivery area clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of recent driving experience in a similar local delivery role.
- Must possess a clean driving record (MVR) and be insurable.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for digital logging devices (EOBRs) and paperwork.
- Must be willing to pass a drug screen and background check.
