Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial trucks on local and regional routes within the Greater Boston area.
- Load and unload freight accurately and efficiently using proper lifting techniques.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic logging device (ELD) records.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse personnel.
- Handle paperwork and billing documents with precision.
Qualifications
- CDL Class A or Class B with appropriate endorsements (Hazmat preferred but not required).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Valid DOT medical card (Class 2 Medical).
- 2+ years of verifiable truck driving experience in a commercial environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Must be willing to submit to a background check and drug screen.
