Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport goods to customers in a professional and timely manner.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks using pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other equipment, ensuring items are handled with care.
- Verify packages against delivery manifests to ensure accuracy and complete all necessary paperwork and digital logs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, resolving issues, and maintaining a positive image of the company.
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the delivery vehicle, including routine inspections and basic maintenance.
- Navigate efficiently using GPS and mapping software to optimize delivery routes.
- Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) (or equivalent state driver's license depending on vehicle type).
- Clean driving record with no recent major violations or DUIs.
- Ability to lift heavy packages regularly (up to 50-70 lbs) and stand for extended periods.
- Basic knowledge of vehicle operations and mechanical safety features.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable attendance and a history of punctuality.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required.
