Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and merchandise to designated addresses using personal or company-provided vehicles
- Load/unload deliveries with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures when required
- Optimize delivery routes for efficiency using GPS navigation
- Communicate delivery status updates to dispatch and recipients
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Adhere to traffic laws and company safety protocols at all times
Qualifications
- Valid Class C driver's license with clean driving record (3+ years)
- Minimum age 21 with reliable personal vehicle or access to insured vehicle
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly and navigate stairs with packages
- Basic smartphone proficiency for GPS and communication apps
- Knowledge of Baltimore City streets and surrounding areas
- Strong time management and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Background check and drug screening required
