Responsibilities
- Safely operate box trucks for local/regional freight delivery routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation (BOLs, mileage)
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic vehicle maintenance
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and on-time deliveries
- Build strong relationships with clients and ensure service excellence
- Manage fuel expenses and maximize route efficiency
- Adhere to DOT regulations and safety protocols
Qualifications
- Valid Class B CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years box truck or commercial driving experience
- Reliable box truck (26ft+) with current registration and insurance
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/NC road networks and delivery zones
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Smartphone with reliable data for dispatch communication
- Entrepreneurial mindset and self-discipline
- Proof of business registration (LLC/Sole Proprietorship)
