Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles on long-haul routes
- Plan efficient routes while adhering to DOT regulations and delivery schedules
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Secure and verify cargo integrity at all loading/unloading points
- Communicate proactively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Minimize fuel consumption through optimized driving techniques
- Uphold company safety standards and zero-tolerance policy for violations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years OTR experience
- Clean MVR record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Proficient in ELD systems and route navigation software
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Flexibility for extended trips (7-14 day runs)
- Knowledge of hazmat/dangerous goods preferred
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
