Responsibilities
- Safely and efficiently transport packages to residential and commercial delivery points within a specific local radius.
- Ensure timely delivery by adhering to assigned routes and schedules.
- Inspect the delivery vehicle for any mechanical issues before each shift.
- Interact professionally with customers, including obtaining signatures and handling returns.
- Assist with loading and unloading cargo, ensuring items are secure and handled with care.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries using handheld devices.
- Keep the delivery vehicle clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Driver's License with a clean driving record (no recent DUIs or serious moving violations).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull packages weighing up to 70 lbs repeatedly.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to use a tablet or smartphone for navigation and logging.
- Strong customer service skills and a polite, professional demeanor.
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings and weekends.
