Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations in and around Greensboro.
- Load and unload merchandise from trucks using hand trucks, dollies, and pallet jacks.
- Practice proper lifting techniques to ensure safety for yourself and the product.
- Interact professionally and courteously with customers during deliveries.
- Verify delivery quantities and obtain signatures where required.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the delivery vehicle.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class C Commercial Driver's License (CDL) is preferred but not always required for local routes.
- Current, valid driver's license and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Physical ability to lift heavy items (up to 50-75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging and reporting.
