Responsibilities
- Efficiently and safely transport packages and documents to designated residential and business addresses within Chula Vista.
- Provide outstanding customer service by greeting clients politely and ensuring deliveries are made accurately and on time.
- Perform accurate cash/card transactions for COD deliveries and handle returns or exchanges with care.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery truck is in optimal condition.
- Load and unload cargo from the delivery van, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing items to prevent damage.
- Maintain a clean and organized delivery vehicle at all times.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations, and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) or a clean, valid state driver’s license (Class C).
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations in the past 3 years.
- Physically capable of lifting up to 70 lbs repeatedly and standing for extended periods.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to plan routes efficiently.
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and mobile delivery apps.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
