Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to deliver packages, food, and merchandise to customers across New Orleans
- Optimize delivery routes using GPS technology to ensure timely and efficient service
- Load/unload cargo with proper handling techniques to prevent damage
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures upon completion
- Provide exceptional customer service during interactions and resolve delivery issues promptly
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
- Communicate with dispatch team regarding delivery status and traffic conditions
Qualifications
- Valid Louisiana driver's license with clean driving record (minimum 2 years)
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly during shift
- Strong knowledge of New Orleans streets and surrounding parishes
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Reliable smartphone with data plan for route navigation
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Basic math skills for cash handling and tip calculations
- Pass background check and drug screening
